Fighting With The Right Armour: Sunday 7th August 2022 was a special gathering of the living Saints, at Christ Anglican Church, Ezinachi, Diocese of Okigwe Anglican Communion.
The special Sunday service with the topic: Fighting With The Right Armour was officiated by Rev. Canon Nnadozie Jonas, the Priest In Charge of the Parish.
In his sermon, he reminded the Christian faithful that David used the right armour in 1 Samuel 17:37 when he acknowledged that God has been delivering him from the paw of lion and bear, and God will also deliver him from Goliath.
Rev. Canon Nnadozie Jonas said that Christians should learn to use the right armour to fight the spiritual battles challenging Christianity in a time like ours in the country.
He stated the right armour as written in Ephesians 6: 14 – 19; 1 Samuel 17:45-47.
As Christians, we cannot fight spiritual battles on our own, we have to remain in Christ Jesus and He in us – John 15:4,7.
The Rev. Canon further pointed out that when we remain in Christ, he answers our prayers.
The only name through which we have victory is the name of Jesus Christ – Acts 3:6, Acts 4:10,12.
By the name of Jesus Christ we are victorious; citing 1Samuel 17:45, David used the name of God to overcome Goliath.
Rev. Canon Nnadozie Jonas concluded by asking Christians to always be truthful, righteous and having faith in God.
